<p>Production Resources principal for heavy duty coil handling and feeding equipment, Coe Press Equipment, has introduced a new touch screen user interface for their servo feeds. This new interface is available on new feeds and as a retrofit. It is easier to use and provides increased functionality. Operators can quickly and easily set feed length, feed speed, and feed angle. Further it’s compatible with our Wintriss Controls SFI products to allow users a single point of entry for most press setups.</p>

<p><b>Sterling Heights, Mich., Aug. XX, 2011</b> – COE Press  Equipment has announced its ServoMaster Touch&trade;, its next generation controller featuring a user-friendly 5.7” VGA color touchscreen interface with customizable operator screens. New features of this controller include streamlined entry of machine set-up information and enhancements to the operator prompts, machine diagnostics, and serial communications to the press controls – all which contribute to easier use and faster setup. </p>
<p>Additional capabilities include production data reporting of feed cycles and material usage, and downloading of set-up data or job number selection. Its multi-axis capabilities include push-pull, zig-zag and tailout configurations. Auxiliary functions achievable through its Servo Feed Automation feature include motorized and encoded passline height control, tailout feed position, table position extension and edge guides, as well as feed roll pressure control.</p>
<p>Other features of the new ServoMaster Touch controller include:</p>

<p>“COE Press Equipment has developed a new Alligator Peeler-Dekinker Station for more efficient peeling and threading of a wide range of material thickness and widths.  To meet the requirements of various applications, COE offers 3 different models of the Alligator Peeler with modular designs for both top and bottom payoff. This new design differs from standard Peeler Stations in that it doesn’t require a specific gap between the lower peeler and fixed dekinker blade in order to dekink the leading edge of the coil.</p>
<p>The Alligator Peeler has a two-axis peeler table with a telescoping blade to peel the leading edge of the coil. The upper dekinker table is mounted for independent or simultaneous operation with the peeler table. The dekinker table has a motorized threading roll to assist in pulling off the leading edge of the coil. Once the material is pinched between the upper threading roll and peeler table, the entire assembly is lowered to achieve effective dekinking. The Alligator Peeler is used in combination with a reel-mounted Hold Down and Motorized Endwheel for effective and safe threading of heavy gauge and high strength materials.”</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Production Resources distributes Bachhuber mechanical and servo driven press unloaders. These devices are intended for use with power presses, forging operations, and die casting where it’s necessary to remove a part from the die space and move it to a bin or storage area. The mechanical unloaders are mechanically linked to press motion and the tray reaches into the die space on the press upstroke to retrieve/catch the part from a top knock out operation and then shuttle it outside the die area. The servo driven unloaders work in a similar fashion but have no mechanical linkage to the press and are timed electrically from a programmable limit switch or similar device.</p>

The ball-to-ball clamps allow infinite adjustability with up to a 90 degree angular offset. In-line telescoping shovel and gripper mounts allow length adjustment while maintaining a low profile that reduces die clearance requirements. Updated clamp designs meet full load capacity ratings when their bolts are hand tightened using a standard Allen wrench tool mounting devices and end of arm tooling. Ready for use with shovels, grippers, fingers, or vacuum cups and Syron stainless steel proximity sensors.</p>

<p>The Micro Versa line uses the same basic design features as Versa but at a 40% reduction in physical size. The reduced size is ideal for use on smaller transfer systems or applications requiring short low profile fingers in confined areas. A selection of square tubing and clamps have also been developed to allow immediate right angle offsets while eliminating tube rotation. The Micro Versa line is rated for 120 ft. lb. Static/50ft. lb. dynamic loads. All clamps meet these ratings when hand tightened with a standard Allen wrench.</p>

<p>The Simplified line of components consists of high strength steel tubing, aluminum branches with integral right angle clamps and swivel ball clamps for basic right angle finger designs. Some stampers prefer designing, building and adjusting fingers using three simple right angle components. Fingers fabricated from simplified components are rated for 150 ft. lb. static/50 ft. lb. dynamic loads. All clamp bolts must be tightened to 28 ft. lbs. to meet these load capacity ratings.</p>

<h3>Double Blank and Hidden Part Detection</h3>
<p>Contact style pass through ferrous and non ferrous styles. Manual and automatic versions with integral memory. Syron&#8217;s DBA systems prevent damage to dies and stamping machinery by detecting multiple blanks during the load sequence. Contact style sensors detect multiple blanks in the destack mechanism allowing early removal or reject sequences. Pass-Thru or pneumatically extended sensors monitor sheet thickness in the magbelt, roller feed or centering station for additional protection throughout the feed process.</p>

<p>Quality control checks can be performed in-process to verify the presence of multiple components during an assembly sequence. Bracket, stiffener plate and stud/nut presence can be verified prior to assembly. Gasket or sealant presence between metallic sheets can be checked after hemming, crimping or spot weld operations. Quality issues are detected early for reduced scrap and shipment rejections.</p>
<p>Parts can be sorted by material thickness during automated feed or unload operations. Hydroformed components are often fabricated in light and heavy duty versions. Sensors in the loading mechanism can automatically direct thin and thick tubing to the appropriate pressline. Sensors in the unload automation can direct finished product to the appropriate storage container.</p>

<p>Syron&#8217;s pressroom duty steel-faced sensors survive where proximity switches fail. Our inductive proximity sensors feature impact resistant potted electronic circuitry and abrasion resistant .035&quot; to .048&quot; thick stainless steel faces designed for continuous contact with parts being sensed. All housings are sealed to IP67 rating making them impervious to contamination from coolants and oil. Robust electronics provide protection from short circuit, overload and weld field environments. 3 wire 10-30VDC NPN/PNP and 2 wire 24-140V AC/DC outputs are available as well as a full line of mounting accessories and signal converters.</p>

<p>Syron&#8217;s mechanical part present switches are designed specifically for use on tri-axis transfer press applications. Part contact with the probe rod causes retraction of the part probe plunger and switch activation. A minimum of .35&#8243; retraction from the resting position is required to ensure turn-on. Less than .10&quot; retraction from the resting position is required to insure turn-off. Custom length and shape probe rods can be constructed and installed. The N.O. contact of the switch is wired to its electrical connector for direct compatibility with existing proximity switch cabling.</p>

<p>Syron Series SNP nut detectors use inductive proximity detection technology to sense the presence of a welded nut through a blind hole in sheet metal parts. This unique sensing probe develops a radial detection field to verify that the nut totally surrounds the probe and is properly positioned. The system can often be tuned to verify thread presence and quality. The all stainless steel probe resists weld splatter, and the sensing circuitry will not be damaged by the weld field environment. This allows the sensor to be used very close to the welding operation for detection of an incorrectly built part early in the assembly process. Syron offers a complete line of sensor spring mounts and output converter modules.</p>

This easy to program, low maintenance system is custom built to suit your needs for almost any size press.</p>
<p>As is standard with all of Linear’s automation equipment, the Front and Rear Mount comes complete with touch screen control, and master encoder feedback. Die and programmable part detection is also standard on all systems, providing the optimum in press and tooling safety. <p>Linear servo driven feeders are designed to process blanks of various geometries, sizes and materials, allowing a large range of products to be produced in a single transfer press. Conveniently, our units can be rolled to the side and coil feed systems rolled into place to run progressive dies. Double blank protection is an integral part of all Linear’s blank feeders.</p>
