Hinged steel belt, drag and slat conveyors are chain-driven conveyors for the heavy, sharp, hot or oily material that would damage a fabric belt: press scrap, machining chips, castings and forgings. PRI supplies hinged steel belt conveyors from MPI and New London Engineering, and New London drag and slat conveyors.

Which Type Fits?

• Hinged steel belt: overlapping steel pans carry scrap, chips and parts, often in and out of pits or up to a hopper.
• Drag: flights drag material along the conveyor bed, suited to chips, turnings and scrap.
• Slat: a chain of slats for heavy parts and assemblies.
