Overview

The Pascal Easy Ejector Rod (MEJ) makes changing ejector rods much easier. Strong magnets on the joint faces of the fixed and removable rods let the rod plug in and plug in and pull out with one-touch operation. On a 1,000 kN injection molding machine, Pascal reports ejector rod changing cut from 1 minute 8 seconds to 6 seconds.

Key Features

  • One-touch connection
    • The removable rod plugs in and pulls out in a single motion.
  • Magnetic joint
    • Strong magnets on the joint faces of the fixed and removable rods hold them together.
  • Faster rod changes
    • Pascal reports a change time of 6 seconds, down from 1 minute 8 seconds, on a 1,000 kN machine.
  • Ball lock option for long strokes
    • The Ball Lock Ejector Rod (MEL) uses a ball lock structure for large machines with ejector strokes over 300 mm.
  • Fixed rod mounting
    • Pascal's MEJ catalog includes instructions for mounting the fixed rod.

Product Line / Models

Pascal offers two ejector rod styles, matched to machine size and ejector stroke:

  • Easy Ejector Rod MEJ – Magnetic joint for one-touch rod changes. Pascal shows it on machines from 1,000 kN to 14,000 kN.
  • Ball Lock Ejector Rod MEL – Ball lock structure for large injection molding machines with an ejector stroke of more than 300 mm. Pascal shows it on a 25,000 kN machine.

Applications & Benefits

  • Faster mold changes: Ejector rods plug in and pull out with one-touch operation, cutting change time to seconds.
  • Small to large machines: Pascal demonstrates rod changes on 1,000 kN, 4,500 kN, 5,500 kN and 14,000 kN machines.
  • Long ejector strokes: The ball lock MEL handles strokes over 300 mm on large machines.

How to Choose the Right Pascal Ejector Rod

  1. Start with your machine tonnage and ejector plate layout.
  2. Check the ejector stroke: for strokes over 300 mm on large machines, look at the Ball Lock MEL.
  3. Count the ejector rods used per mold and how often molds change.
  4. Review Pascal's fixed rod mounting instructions for your machine.

Why Pascal Ejector Rods Are Trusted

  • Measured time savings: Pascal reports ejector rod changes cut from 1 minute 8 seconds to 6 seconds on a 1,000 kN machine.
  • Proven across machine sizes: Pascal shows rod changes on machines from 1,000 kN up to 25,000 kN.
  • Documented installation: Pascal publishes specifications, installation effect data and fixed rod mounting guidance.
