Overview
Pascal hydraulic clamps and air clamps hold the mold to the injection molding machine platen so molds can be clamped and released without hand-tightening bolts. Pascal offers slidable, automatic slidable, T-slot-less slidable and bolted types in both hydraulic and air versions. Pascal shows them installed on machines such as a 4,500 kN machine (hydraulic TYA) and a 2,200 kN machine (air TLC).

How to Choose the Right Pascal Mold Clamp
- Start with your machine tonnage, platen dimensions and whether the platen has T-slots.
- Choose hydraulic or air power based on what is available at the machine.
- Decide between slidable, automatic slidable and bolted mounting, and how molds are loaded (vertical or horizontal).
- Check how much mold plate thickness varies; long stroke TYB or TYJ clamps absorb variation. Pascal warns that clamp height must stay within range to prevent the mold from falling.
