Overview

Pascal N2 gas springs are nitrogen-charged cylinders that deliver a set force over a set stroke, used in press dies. The line covers standard, compact, high power short stroke and long stroke models, with initial forces from 2.65 kN to 184.1 kN. Pascal also supplies flanges, gas charging tools and a hose link system for piping.

Key Features

  • Wide force range
    • Initial forces from 2.65 kN to 184.1 kN across the current line.
  • Four main body styles
    • Standard (DNK), compact body (DNR), high power short stroke (DNP) and long stroke (DNA).
  • Flange mounting options
    • Pascal offers a range of flanges, including FC, FS, SC, BK, BL, KA, KB and HA types.
  • Hose link system
    • The Pascal DNH hose link system pipes gas springs together.
  • Gas charging tools
    • Pascal supplies tools for charging the springs with nitrogen.
  • Excellent durability
    • Pascal highlights durability as a key trait of its gas springs.
  • CAD data
    • 2D DXF and 3D IGES, Parasolid, STEP and Solidworks files are available for each model.

Product Line / Models

Pascal offers N2 gas springs in several body styles:

  • DNK Standard model – ø32 to ø150 mm, 3.62 to 95.4 kN, stroke 10~125 mm.
  • DNR Compact body – ø32 to ø150 mm, 3.62 to 95.4 kN, stroke 10~125 mm, in a shorter body (max. length 50~328 mm).
  • DNP High power, short stroke – ø25 to ø150 mm, 4.71 to 184.1 kN, stroke 6~50 mm.
  • DNA Long stroke – ø38 to ø120 mm, 2.65 to 49.8 kN, stroke 25~300 mm.
  • DSD Large diameter rod, high initial force – ø32 to ø50 mm, 6.60 to 20.2 kN, stroke 10~80 mm.
  • DSC Compact body – ø32 to ø50 mm, 3.82 to 14.8 kN, stroke 10~50 mm.
  • Related products – Flanges, gas charging tools and the DNH hose link piping system.

Applications & Benefits

  • Press dies: Pascal's catalog covers mounting springs in dies, and lists the DNA long stroke model for cam or ejector plate return.
  • Tight die spaces: Compact body models fit where height is limited.
  • High force in short strokes: The DNP delivers up to 184.1 kN over strokes of 6~50 mm.
  • Long travel: The DNA covers strokes up to 300 mm.

How to Choose the Right Pascal N2 Gas Spring

  1. Start with the initial force you need at each spring location.
  2. Set the stroke your application requires.
  3. Check the installed height available and compare maximum lengths.
  4. Pick the mounting style and flange.
  5. Decide whether springs will be piped together with the hose link system.
