Overview
Southworth Backsaver Hydraulic Lift Tables are LS Series scissor lifts for machine feeding, work positioning, assembly, order picking and pallet loading. Stock models carry 2,000 to 6,000 lb and raise to 31¼", 43¼" or 55¼" from a 7¼" lowered height, with platforms up to 72" x 96". PRI supplies Backsaver lifts with the power unit, controls, top and base configuration the job calls for.

Applications & Benefits
- Machine feeding: Raise blanks, parts and stock to the feed height of a press or machine so operators don't bend or reach.
- Work positioning: Hold parts and work in process at a comfortable working height in fabrication and press room cells.
- Assembly: Set the load at the right height for each step, with ball transfer tops for access to all sides.
- Pallet loading and order picking: Keep the top of the load at a steady working height as pallets are built or picked.
- Conveyor transfer: Gravity conveyor tops move items on or off the lift within a conveyor line.
How to Choose the Right Backsaver Lift Table
- Start with the load weight: 2,000, 3,000, 4,000 or 6,000 lb.
- Set the working height. Raised heights are 31¼", 43¼" or 55¼" from a 7¼" lowered height.
- Size the platform. Choose a standard or W (wide) base, and a platform up to the model's maximum size.
- Match the power unit to your plant: 1 HP 115/1/60 or 3 HP 460/3/60 electric, or an air power unit.
- Pick the top: plain platform, ball transfer top, gravity conveyor top, and bellows skirting if needed.
- Decide on mounting: floor, pit-mounted for a flush platform, or portable on casters, semi-live skids or with fork pockets.
Why Southworth Backsaver Lift Tables Are Trusted
- Built to the standard: Southworth scissor lifts are designed and manufactured to meet or exceed ANSI MH29.1 safety requirements for industrial scissors lifts.
- Less strain on operators: Backsaver lifts put the work at the right height, reducing operator strain and fatigue.
- Low maintenance: Hardened pins run in lubricated-for-life bushings, and low-pressure hydraulics extend component life.
