The Wintriss DiPro 1500 is a standalone die protection controller engineered to detect pressroom malfunctions—such as misfeeds, buckling, and improper part ejection—and halt press operations before tool damage occurs.

Sensor Monitoring & Fault Detection

• Supports up to 6 programmable sensor inputs, each with independently configured ready signals—the crankshaft angle ranges during which sensors must actuate.
• If a sensor fails to activate within its designated window, DiPro 1500 immediately triggers a stop command (either emergency stop or top stop, depending on configuration).
• Displays which specific sensor faulted, with expanded on-screen error messaging for more intuitive troubleshooting.

Crankshaft Positioning & Timing Precision

• Uses a resolver positioned on the press crankshaft to continuously determine the ram’s angular position in real time (in degrees).
• This precise synchronization enables accurate timing of sensor checks and cam activation—critical for high-speed operations.

Program Storage & Adjustability

• Capable of storing tool settings for up to 200 die setups, allowing quick recall and tool changeover. Offers “on-the-fly” adjustments to sensor timing and thresholds directly from the user interface.
• Features password protection or panel locking to safeguard settings from unauthorized changes.
• Naming sensors individually also enhances diagnostic clarity.

Counts, Displays & Optional Automation

• Comes equipped with counters for parts produced, per-batch counts, and total hits per tool.
• Integrated LED display visualizes real-time press speed and crank angle.
• Optional programmable cam switch (4- or 8-channel) allows DiPro to control external auxiliary devices at precise points in the stroke.
• Compatible with the DSI 2 sensor interface module, simplifying sensor wiring and management near the die.
