Wintriss Shadow® 10 Light Curtain

The Shadow® 10 is a light curtain built with the pressroom in mind. With seamless hardware, these rugged light curtains can resist the everyday pressroom grease and grime and simplify programming and day-to-day maintenance. This transition to the Shadow 10 light curtain allows Wintriss to take better control of the Shadow line; we can offer the support, fast repairs, flexibility, and safety features that our customers need.

Improved from the Shadow® 9

• Connect up to 4 sets of heads to one control box/WPC APEX: Protect your entire press with one light curtain system.
  • All heads are uniquely programmed and managed. This allows for easy troubleshooting and fault diagnosis.
• Advanced Blanking Features: Two additional floating beams
  • Blanking Tolerance: Allows a blanked object (conveyor, chute, etc.) to move within set tolerance boundary of up to +3/-1 beams.
• Protection Heights: 12”, 17”, 23”, 29”, 35”, NEW 41”, and NEW 53”
• Highly Adjustable Brackets: Easy to install and reorient, up to 360°.
• 22mm Hand Protection: Improved safety distance allows you to put the light curtain closer to the work area. Safety resolution is increased from Shadow 9’s 30mm.

New Shadow® 10 Features

• Individual Beam Indicators:
  • A feature missed in the Shadow 9 and returning from the Shadow 8, the Shadow 10 will have red LEDs to indicate which beams are blocked and aid in alignment.
• 7 Segment Display with Diagnostic Code Read-out:
  • Shadow 10 receiver displays a fault code when a light curtain triggers lock-out, allowing you to easily identify the lock-out reason and affected light curtain.
• In-House Service:
  • The Shadow 10 maintains the 2-year warranty of the Shadow heads and control box with standard turnaround repairs.
  • All Shadow 10’s will be serviced in-house.
• Simplified Programming:
  • The tiny, finicky dipswitches and endcap flip door have been removed from this iteration of Shadow light curtains.
• NEW Floating Mode:
  • When programmed to, allows small objects to move within the sensing field without triggering lock-out.
• Individual heads can be repaired and are available as replacement parts.
