Overview

The MPI Tabletop Demagnetizer (TTD) quickly removes residual magnetism from flat and small cylindrical parts. You place parts on the stainless steel top plate or pass them across it. It can be used by hand at a bench or built into a production line, for example under a conveyor belt.

Key Features

  • Manual or inline use
    • Use it at a bench or install it under a conveyor belt as part of an automated process.
  • Field penetration to 40 mm
    • The demagnetizing field reaches up to 40 mm (1.57 in.).
  • Automatic field adjustment
    • Demagnetizing power increases with the volume of the workpiece.
  • Aluminum body, stainless top
    • A lightweight aluminum body carries a stainless steel top plate.
  • Switch with signal light
    • A double-pole switch with signal light and a 10 ft power cord with plug.
  • Side-by-side installation
    • Several units can be placed side by side for a larger work area.

Product Line / Models

MPI TTD sizes (length x width x height). All run on 110V/60Hz:

  • TTD-3 – 250 x 180 x 87 mm (9.84 x 7.09 x 3.43 in.), 8.8 kg (19.4 lb).
  • TTD-4 – 280 x 266 x 87 mm (11.02 x 10.47 x 3.43 in.), 14 kg (30.86 lb).
  • TTD-5 – 400 x 306 x 87 mm, 19 kg (41.89 lb). The largest standard work area.
  • Custom sizes – available from MPI by special order.

Applications & Benefits

  • Flat and small cylindrical parts: Removes residual magnetism quickly.
  • Conveyor lines: Mounted under a conveyor belt, it demagnetizes parts in process.
  • Bench work: Operators demagnetize parts by passing them across the plate by hand.
  • Larger parts: Placing several units side by side widens the work area.

How to Choose the Right MPI Tabletop Demagnetizer

  1. Measure the largest part footprint and pick a TTD size that covers it.
  2. Check part thickness against the 40 mm (1.57 in.) field penetration.
  3. Decide between manual use and mounting under a conveyor, and note the belt width.
  4. Confirm 110V/60Hz power at the work location.
  5. For larger work areas, plan several units side by side or ask about a custom size.

Why MPI Tabletop Demagnetizers Are Trusted

  • Simple operation: Switch on, pass the part across the plate, done.
  • Shop-ready build: An aluminum body with a stainless steel top plate.
  • Backed by MPI: Each unit carries a one-year warranty.
