Overview

Bachhuber press unloaders take finished parts out of the die space and move them to a bin, conveyor or storage area. Mechanical units are linked to press motion, and servo units are timed electrically. Bachhuber also builds blank feeders, strip feeders, part transfer systems, stackers and destackers for press lines.

Key Features

  • Mechanical actuation
    • The unloader is linked to the press, so the tray reaches into the die space on the upstroke, catches the part from a top knockout and shuttles it out.
  • Servo actuation
    • Servo units have no mechanical linkage to the press and are timed electrically from a programmable limit switch or similar device.
  • Wide tray travel range
    • Standard models cover maximum tray travel from 10" to 50" and press strokes from 1.25" to 40".
  • Auto Disconnect Arm for die casting
    • Bachhuber's patented arm releases the tray after the part is caught so a robot can load the trim press, then reconnects on the down stroke.
  • Forge-duty design
    • The Model 203 uses hardened tool steel rollers and no plastic components to handle forging heat.
  • Servo blank and strip feeders
    • Servo-driven blank feeders load parts at up to 80 spm, and strip feeders use servo-driven rolls to advance the strip accurately.
  • Stackers and destackers
    • Engineered to the application, with pneumatic suction or electromagnet part pickup and quick changeover between part sizes.

Product Line / Models

Maximum tray travel and press stroke range from Bachhuber:

  • Model 075 (mechanical) – 10" tray travel, 1.25" to 6" stroke. Bachhuber's smallest unloader, for high-speed short-stroke presses.
  • Model 100 / 150 / 200 (mechanical) – 22" to 24" tray travel, 3" to 20" stroke. The 150 adds a linear bearing; the 200 uses two for wider, heavier parts.
  • Model 300 / 320 (mechanical) – 34" and 42" tray travel for 7" to 30" and 12" to 40" strokes. The 320 is built for heavier parts.
  • Model 600 (mechanical) – four linear ways and tray widths up to 60" for large, heavy parts. Custom versions available.
  • Model 203 Forge-Duty (mechanical) – 18" tray travel, 5" to 20" stroke, for forging presses.
  • Model 201 / 317 / 321 (die cast trim press) – 22", 32" and 42" tray travel with the Auto Disconnect Arm.
  • Model 200ST / 300ST / 320ST (servo) – 21", 33" and 50" tray travel, 3" to 40" stroke. The 300ST has a color touch screen.
  • Fineblank Unloader Model 220s (servo) – 30" tray travel. Catches the slug and pulls the finished part off the lower die onto separate trays.

Applications & Benefits

  • Stamping presses: Removes parts from top knockout operations without reaching into the die.
  • Die cast trim presses: Works alongside robot loading with no cell controller or separate unloader control.
  • Forging and fineblanking: Forge-duty and fineblank models handle heat and slug separation.
  • Blank loading: Blank feeders load parts from a stack onto the die faster and safer than manual loading.

How to Choose the Right Bachhuber Press Unloader

  1. Match tray travel to the distance from the press bolster to the point where the part is stripped or ejected.
  2. Check your press stroke length and speed against the model's stroke range.
  3. Choose mechanical if the unloader can link to the ram, or servo for programmable timing with no linkage.
  4. Size the tray width and model for the part size and weight.
  5. Use a die cast, forge-duty or fineblank model where the process calls for it.

Why Bachhuber Press Unloaders Are Trusted

  • ISO 9001 registered: Bachhuber is an ISO 9001 registered producer of press automation equipment.
  • In-house machining: A complete in-house CNC machine shop covers design, component manufacturing, assembly and test.
  • Custom builds: Bachhuber designs custom unloaders, stackers and feeders where the application calls for it.
