MPI Beltless Magnetic Conveyors

MPI’s Beltless Magnetic Conveyors (BLM) deliver dependable, positive control of ferrous materials in metalworking and industrial applications. Engineered for durability and uptime, the BLM series is available in multiple models and configurations to handle metal stampings, turnings, chips, fasteners, and scrap with consistent efficiency. With customizable layouts—including dogleg, extended‑discharge, horizontal, and incline designs—and optional feeders, hoppers, and other system components, these conveyors can be tailored into a complete material handling solution.

For applications requiring magnetic control on high‑speed horizontal or inclined‑to‑vertical paths, MPI’s Magnetic Belt Conveyors provide secure transport of ferrous parts across fabric, table‑top, and stainless‑steel mesh belting. Both conveyor families offer extensive design options and seamless integration with ancillary equipment, ensuring reliable performance in demanding production environments.

Impact-Resistant Slider Bed

MPI’s Beltless Magnetic Conveyor is engineered for reliable, low‑maintenance handling of sharp, oily, hot, or abrasive ferrous materials—without the drawbacks of traditional conveyor belts. A series of high‑strength magnets mounted to a moving chain assembly glide beneath a smooth stainless‑steel slider bed, delivering consistent material movement while eliminating belt wear, tracking issues, and frequent maintenance.

Designed for demanding metalworking applications, the BLM series efficiently moves metal scrap, turnings, chips, fasteners, and other ferrous parts. Multiple models and configuration options, including integrated feeders and hoppers, allow the system to be tailored for rugged, continuous operation.

Key performance features include a liquid‑tight sealed housing, an internal self‑adjusting chain tensioning system, and a heavy‑duty stainless‑steel slider bed that supports long service life with minimal upkeep. American‑made drive packages further enhance durability, uptime, and overall conveyor performance.

    • Incline straight nose over
    • Dogleg horizontal/continuous radius discharge
    • Dogleg nose over
    • Incline straight horizontal/continuous radius discharge
  • Discharge Design:
    • Horizontal (standard)
    • Nose over – recommended for small scrap and compact designs
    • Continuous radius – recommended for smooth scrap transfer of long pieces
  • Infeed Length:
    • Minimum infeed length is 30″ to as long as required for customer application
  • Angle of Incline:
    • 15°, 30°, 45°, 60°, 75°, 90°
    • Custom
  • Discharge Length: The minimum discharge length depends on the discharge design selected. The discharge lengths can be made as long as required for the application.
    • Minimum length for nose over-discharge design is body width, the shortest design available
    • Minimum length for horizontal discharge design is 22″
    • Minimum length for continuous radius discharge design depends on the angle of incline, at least 22″
  • Infeed Height: Floor installation is standard. This will result in the infeed height being the body depth specified by the series selected. Legs can be added for raised infeed heights.
    • Body depth (standard)
    • As specified for the application (legs added)
  • Discharge Height:
    • No standard – as specified for the application
  • Overall Length:
    • Calculated based on configured dimensions and options specified above
  • Slider Bed Width: Minimum widths are based on series selected. Standard widths are available in increments of 2″ from the minimum to a maximum of 24”. Overall body width of the conveyor is the slider bed width plus 4″.
    • 600 series – minimum 6″
    • 800 series – minimum 8″
