Overview
New London Engineering floor-to-floor conveyors carry boxes (packaged items) up inclines or down declines. Unlike cleated belt conveyors, they use a rough top belt and a nose-over at the discharge that gives a smooth transition from incline to horizontal or decline. The adjustable double nose-over sets from 0° to 30°. Two models: the medium-duty 410, up to 30" wide and 5' to 40' long, and the heavy-duty 420, up to 48" wide and 5' to 100' long. PRI supplies New London Engineering floor-to-floor conveyors alongside the rest of the NLE line.
Key Features
- Rough top belt
- A black rubber rough top belt with clipper lacing carries boxes on the incline.
- Adjustable double nose-over
- The double nose-over at the discharge adjusts from 0° to 30° for smooth package transition from incline to horizontal or decline.
- Modular frames
- Modular frames allow changes as your needs evolve. Lengths are built in 6" increments.
- Optional power feeders
- Power feeders are available as an option on both models.
- Slider bed frames
- The 410 uses the Model 200 frame, 2-3/4" deep x 12 gauge. The 420 uses the Model 220 frame, 5-1/2" deep x 12 gauge.
- Standard specifications
- 60 FPM standard speed, bottom-mount right-side drive, 230/460/3/60 TEFC motor, grease-sealed bearings and supports set at 30" to the top of the belt.
Product Line / Models
New London Engineering floor-to-floor models and standard specifications:
- Model 410 Medium Duty – widths up to 30", lengths 5' to 40' in 6" increments, 60 FPM, 1/3 HP, 2-3/4" deep x 12 ga frame, 1-3/16" drive pulley shaft, adjustable double nose-over. For narrower, lighter items up shorter levels.
- Model 420 Heavy Duty – widths up to 48", lengths 5' to 100' in 6" increments, 60 FPM, 1/2 HP, 5-1/2" deep x 12 ga frame, 1-7/16" drive pulley shaft, adjustable double nose-over. For large, awkward items from floor to floor over longer distances.
Applications & Benefits
- Floor to floor: Moves boxes and packaged items up inclines or down declines between levels.
- Narrow, light items: The 410 moves narrower, lighter items up shorter levels.
- Large, awkward items: The 420 moves large, awkward items up longer distances.
- Incline to horizontal transitions: The nose-over gives a smooth transition from incline to horizontal or decline.
How to Choose the Right New London Engineering Floor-to-Floor Conveyor
- Start with the largest box: the 410 goes up to 30" wide, the 420 up to 48" wide.
- Set the length the rise requires: 5' to 40' on the 410, 5' to 100' on the 420.
- Decide whether the conveyor runs up an incline or down a decline.
- Set the nose-over angle, 0° to 30°, to match the conveyor at the discharge.
- Decide whether a power feeder is needed at the infeed.
