Overview
New London Engineering slider bed conveyors are horizontal belt conveyors built to convey everything from boxes, parts and paper to small pallets. The family covers eight models: shallow-frame 200 and 210, deep-frame 220 and 221, V-guided 301, 311 and 321, and the 640 belt over roller conveyor. Standard lengths run from 5' to 100' in 6" increments, with widths up to 68" depending on the model. PRI supplies New London Engineering slider bed conveyors alongside the rest of the NLE line.
Key Features
- Modular frames
- Modular frames let the conveyor length be changed as needed. The standard 5' length is a two-piece, bolt-together unit, and lengths are built in 6" increments.
- Reversing center drive
- A center drive is available for reversing the direction of belt travel. The standard drive is bottom mounted on the right side.
- Shallow or deep frames
- All models use 12-gauge frames. The 200 and 210 have a 2-3/4" deep frame, the 220 and 221 a 5-1/2" frame, and the V-guided models a 6-5/8" frame. The 200's shallow frame fits into tight spaces other slider beds can't.
- V-guided belts
- On the 301, 311 and 321, the frame and pulleys are notched to track an "A" section rubber guide vulcanized to the underside of the belt. This keeps the belt centered for side loading, long runs and short but wide applications.
- Belt over roller bed
- The 640 replaces the slider bed with a bed of 2" diameter rollers on 6" centers. The roller bed reduces friction to increase load-moving capacity with lower power requirements.
- Common standard specifications
- Standard speed is 60 FPM with a black PVC 120 belt and clipper lacing, a 230/460/3/60 TEFC motor, and supports set at 30" to the top of the belt.

- Model 640 Heavy-Duty Belt Over Roller – widths up to 36", lengths 5' to 100', 1/2 HP, 6-1/2" deep x 12 ga frame, 2" diameter x 16 ga rollers with 7/16" hex shafts on 6" centers, supports at 30" to the top of roller. Designed to carry heavy loads longer distances.
Applications & Benefits
- Packaging lines: The 200 and 210 serve light- and medium-duty production and packaging operations.
- Assembly: The 210 is built for low-maintenance operation in medium-duty production, assembly and packaging.
- Boxes, parts and small pallets: NLE slider beds convey everything from boxes, parts and paper to small pallets.
- Side loading and wide, short runs: The V-guided 301, 311 and 321 keep the belt centered where product is loaded from the side or the conveyor is short but wide.
- Heavy loads over longer distances: The 640 belt over roller conveyor moves heavier loads with lower power requirements.
How to Choose the Right New London Engineering Slider Bed Conveyor
- Start with the width. Maximum standard widths are 30" (200, 301), 36" (210, 640), 48" (220, 221, 311) and 68" (321).
- Set the length. The 200 runs 5' to 40'; the other models run 5' to 100', all in 6" increments.
- Match the duty: shallow-frame 200 and 210 for lighter work, deep-frame 220 and heavy drive shaft 221 for longer, wider and heavier loads.
- If product is loaded from the side, or the conveyor is short but wide, choose a V-guided model to keep the belt centered.
- For heavy loads over longer distances, consider the 640 belt over roller.
- If the belt must run in both directions, specify a center drive.
Why New London Engineering Slider Bed Conveyors Are Trusted
- Quality conveyors since 1948: New London Engineering of New London, Wisconsin has built conveyors since 1948 and describes its line as American made and American engineered.
