Under-die and part-out conveyors sit on or next to the press bolster and carry finished parts and slugs out from under the die, so operators don't have to reach into the die area and parts don't pile up. PRI supplies low-profile conveyors from PAX and MPI built for this work in stamping press rooms.

What to Know Before You Choose

• Clearance: the space between the bolster and the lower die determines how low the conveyor must be.
• Part and slug size: small slugs, larger parts, or both.
• Discharge: where parts go next: a tote, a second conveyor, or a scrap system.
• Die changes: how the conveyor comes out or stays in place during die changes.
