Magnetic conveyors use magnets under a stainless steel slide or belt to hold and carry ferrous parts, chips and scrap, including up inclines and around bends where loose parts would slide back. PRI supplies beltless and belted magnetic conveyors from MPI and New London Engineering.

Beltless or Belted?

• Beltless magnetic conveyors move steel along a stainless slide bed with magnets traveling underneath, so there is no belt to wear or cut.
• Belted magnetic conveyors carry parts on a belt with magnets holding them in place.
• Material: magnetic conveyors handle ferrous (steel) material; aluminum, brass and other non-ferrous scrap needs a shaker or belt conveyor.
